Nice one, I nearly bought a plate, my initials 666 but didn't think of that one. You could have a fleet with just the first letter differing.

Breaking News --- England Retain the Ashes. Up yours Aussies.
by Slidin Fast init wasn't pretty, it wasn't how we wanted it but we are in england and it rains here.
you can't argue with two good wins previously.
can the aussies rescue their pride for the rest of the series?.

Yan Biblian, The World Cup - fantastic competition but not comparabable to cricket. The only comparison is that they both use a ball. Yep Frazzled, we got a rained off draw but that is after two straight wins. There is nothing to say that England would not have batted out the day. I quite agree with you Yorkshiremen are good guys, i am glad they welcomed you. Where abouts were you?
JW facts, by definition England were not beaten, they were on the back foot though. I would certainly have preferred the match to be played out. The first test was a great finish. I was on the beach with Australia needing 20 runs and England 1 wicket. Nobody could tell me the score. I think it could have been that sort of a finish.
You have to admit though that Austalia is a shadow of it's former self. I am old enough to remember Denis Lilee and Jeff Thomson, terrifying fast bowlers. Shane Warne could make a cricket ball turn like it was radio controlled. Then if we start talking about the Lions tour...............

There are no rules in cricket, the game is governed by LAWS.

There is no game like it. Tell me any sport where determination and skill, athleticisim and dexterity, speed of eye, stength of arm can go on for five days interupted by meals, sleep weather and interpretation of the pitch it is played on.
Not only that, the tension and excitement can go on for the whole summer, a series of five of these five day cliffhangers over months played out through out the country. The result as in 2005 can be decided on the last ball of the last over during the last day of the last match.
Check out the Botham's ashes from 1981, never to be forgotten. Look at the legends of the English, Aussie, West Indian and the other test nations. Pure sporting gold.

CO over for dinner Tuesday thru Friday
by A question inhas anyone had a co over for dinner during their visit on any of the nights from tuesday thru friday?
that seems hard to do because those nights usually have meetings.
if you did do it, how long were they able to stay after finishing eating?.

Leeds DC, anyone from here going?

Nah! Was transferred from Elland Road, went to Sheffield. The only bright spot was that someone lost control of his car whilst parking ....... in the car park....... he wrote off (totalled) three cars and ended up wrapped round a tree.
The fact he wasn't injured made this a mirthful event. I am not altogether without human kindness.

I personally found that the appointment of Mark Sanderson born in about 1966 was an absolute travesty. I was brought up in the faith and have now reached retirement age. I have met governing body members now dead, I think they would be turning in their graves (they certainly are not directing things from heaven) if they saw what is being taught and done now.
This new batch simply are free from having to bow to the old timers, yep, they are all gone and can't argue.. They gleefully rewrite years of explanation and theology clutching at straws in the wind so that we now have fanciful ideas that stretch credulity to a breaking point.
I don't know whether the rumour is true or not but this crew of imposters make a joke of the values that kept the generations that have come and gone going, however misguided they were. There were some good people and every day that goes by makes their lives seem more pointless and mistaken.
I feel grieved for them all.

Yet another JW child abuse cover-up in the UK news...
by cedars inbradford pedophile massimo capazzo was disfellowshipped for grooming and abusing two young boys, but the elders never told the police.. he was only prosecuted after turning himself in.. not surprisingly, both victims now need professional help and wrestle with "feelings of worthlessness and guilt.".

More creepy elders, keep the congregation clean, send the man out into the world -job done.
One small problem, the world is full of kids and the elders have let a man they know to be a paedophile abuser loose on them.
Shame on them, shame.
